Hello, I'm Amy. I've been photographing vacationing families on San Diego's beautiful beaches since 2009, and I love a good sunset session with a little splashy fun! I photograph families, extended families, and seniors, primarily. With 14 years of experience, I know the best spots for great lighting and the best poses to make everyone look their best, while still rocking that candid vibe. My style has been described as ethereal and pastel, with natural light and natural expressions.

My background is in education, and school is home to me. I've been an English teacher, an assistant principal, a school technology director, a school website designer and social media manager, a hyper-involved parent, and (briefly, during Covid) even a homeschool mom. Most recently, I've spent the off-season for beach photography doing modern school portraits at some of my favorite San Diego schools.

Our daughter and son are now in high school and college, and my husband and I are involved in our church, where he is the online pastor. We enjoy our extended family, our crazy puppy Marley, eating Mexican food and gelato on Coronado, and binge watching old shows like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. I also have an audiobook habit.
